The Head of Education of Manifesta coordinates the development, implementation and monitoring of the education program of Manifesta.

The aim of the Manifesta education program is to realize a discursive space in order to enable every individual visitor to experience and interact with the art and projects presented at Manifesta Biennials. Moreover, the aim is to encourage visitors to contextualize the projects and themes presented at Manifesta, to stimulate dialogues and enable audiences to articulate their own well-founded opinion about contemporary art and its role in society.

The ideal candidate for this position is regarded as expert on art education, has a proven track record in meeting targets in the culture field and has worked in a contemporary art context either in an international biennial or contemporary art museum for minimum of 5 years.

Qualifications:

• Team player, with leadership abilities as well as authority on art education;
• familiarity with management criteria; such as pace, feasibility, efficiency, flexibility    and goal orientation;
• experienced in preparing, monitoring and finalizing budgets, contracts and billing procedures;
• ability to interact with an international team, as part of a larger structure;
• experienced in organizing art education programmes for exhibitions;
• proven track record;
• specialized in visual arts;
• experienced in organizing art education programmes for exhibitions;
• teacher/didactical training and/or experience;
• excellent spoken and written English;
• humour and strong communicational skills.
