As a member of the Curatorial Department, the Assistant Curator, Asian Art is responsible for curatorial research and implementation support for Guggenheim-organized Asian art exhibitions and scholarly publications, including the Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation projects; for liaison work with Asian institutions; and for translation and interpretation as necessary.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Masters degree in modern art history with demonstrated interest in modern and
- contemporary Asian art.
- 2 to 4 years experience in a curatorial department preferred.
- Graduate-level fluency in written and spoken Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and diplomatic approach.
- Ability to successfully interact with a wide variety of internal and external individuals.
- Experience in scholarly research and writing.
- Knowledge of computer databases and MS Office.
- TMS experience a plus.
