Glasgow International, Scotland’s biennial festival of contemporary art, announces the programme for its 11th edition, taking place from Friday June 5 – Sunday June 21, 2026.
Led by Director Helen Nisbet, the 2026 Glasgow International programme reflects a wide range of artistic practices and career trajectories. The festival explores artistic experimentation, personal and ancestral memory, intergenerational kinship, and resonances that cross cultures and trace the textures and rhythms of different lands and waters. Projects span exhibitions, performance, public programming, community organising, and research-based practice; and vary from one-off performances to multi-week durational works, with several exhibitions continuing throughout the summer in partner venues.
Projects include new commissions by Glasgow-based artists Tanoa Sasraku, Jericho Mars, and Jamie Crewe, alongside international and UK-based artists Jasmine Togo-Brisby, Kate Cooper, Rehana Zaman, Bettina, David Wojnarowicz, and Iris Touliatou.
Public programme: Gatherings
Alongside the festival projects, Glasgow International 2026 includes Gatherings, a series of talks, workshops, discussions and other events that delve deeper into ideas that recur across festival projects. Gatherings engage contributions from artists, curators, scholars and activists based in Scotland, the UK and internationally, creating space for festival participants and visitors to come together.
Full details and listings of the Gatherings programme will be posted here in May 2026.
