Liverpool Biennial operates a year round programme of Curatorial Traineeships, which give an opportunity to work with the Curatorial Team in research and planning for Liverpool Biennial 2018, as well as to support the significant year-round programme. Voluntary Curatorial Traineeships typically last for three months (three days per week).

Internships at Liverpool Biennial are unpaid and are classed as voluntary work, however we do make reimbursement for travel to and from work, and also pay a meal allowance. Total reimbursement is £15 per day.

If you are passionate about contemporary art and would like to be considered for a traineeship, please send your CV with a covering letter of application by e-mail to [email protected] no later than midday on 9 September 2016. Interviews will be held on the afternoon of 14 September.

Traineeships dates are as follows:

26 September 2016 – 6 January 2017
3 January 2017 – 3 April 2017
1 April 2017 – 3 July 2017
1 July 2017 – 2 October 2017

Please indicate in your cover letter which start date you are applying for. Please ensure that you put CURATORIAL TRAINEESHIP 2016 as the subject title for your email, and make your cover letter an attachment rather than an integral part of the email.

We look forward to hearing from you!
