La Biennale de Lyon, in agreement with guest curators Sam Bardaouil and Till Fellrath and its public
partners, have decided to postpone the 16th edition of the Lyon Contemporary Art Biennale, initially
scheduled in 2021, until September 2022.

The current global public-health context is considerably slowing down direct contact with the artists, development of potential residencies and productions, activity with the stakeholders of the visual-
arts sector, and interaction between art projects and the business world – all of which help to guarantee the quality of the Biennale.
