The Denver-based Biennial of the Americas has announced that Lauren Wright will be its curator and artistic director. Wright was curator at Turner Contemporary in Margate, UK, from 2010 through 2014; before that she served as assistant director of Furtherfield.org, a London-based organization for art, technology, and social change, and has also organized independent curatorial projects for Tate, Hayward Gallery Touring, and the Institute of Contemporary Art.
“Lauren’s brings an important mix of international exposure and passion for the local community to her work with the Biennial. We expect Lauren to be a great resource for Denver’s arts community as well as the Biennial,” said Erin Trapp, Biennial CEO/Executive Director.
