Organized by the School of Architecture of the Faculty of Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art and the Goethe Institute Thessaloniki, in collaboration with the ‘Five Museums Movement of Thessaloniki’ (Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art, Archaeological Museum, Museum of Byzantine Culture, State Museum of Contemporary Art, and Telloglion Foundation of Art – AUTh), under the auspices of the Municipality of Thessaloniki.
Twenty five Departments of Architecture from Southeast European countries attended the event, including departments from Istanbul, Venice, Belgrade, Skopje, Nicosia, Athens etc.
Main purpose of the biennale was the discussion about the role of architecture departments concerning ‘Architecture and the City’ issues, giving emphasis on public and social space as well as culture varieties in cities of Southeast Europe.
