Developed and taught in collaboration with Afterall, this course examines the history of contemporary art through key developments in the exhibition form.
The two-year masters programme offers a stimulating context for historical and theoretical research concerning exhibitions of contemporary art. The course is led by Pablo Lafuente and Lucy Steeds, who are joined by their colleagues at Afterall, including Charles Esche; and core lecturers Elena Crippa and Yaiza Hernández. Visiting lecturers have included Martin Beck, Claire Bishop, Roger Buergel and Lisette Lagnado.
