The International Emerging Artist Award strives to contribute to the UAE’s vision to position the UAE as a global hub for emerging art. Dubai has become one of the most important cities in the Middle East, offering exciting opportunities in the field of contemporary art.
This year the IEAA is launching the Emerging Emirati Artist Award, a special focus on Emirati Artist talents in junction with the international competition with the honorific support of Her Highness Sheikha Wafa Hasher AlMaktoum. The winners of both award categories will see their artwork showcased in Dubai, Singapore, Istanbul and Marseille, the nominated cities for the international road show represented by renowned art galleries. This international collaboration will provide an exceptional opportunity to any ambitious artist looking at building a credible reputation on the international art scene.
This year International Emerging Artist Award (IEAA) will offer the winner of both categories – International Emerging Artist Award and Emerging Emirati Artist Award – one year representative contract with International Emerging Artist Award which include:
-An International exhibition road show.
-An Invitation to attend the prize-presentation in Dubai.
-An Exclusive media feature in New York Times Style Magazine (T.Emirates)
-Full profile feature on the IEAA website.
-A Participation as a jury member for the 2013-2014 award edition.
